Fondens formål er at yde støtte til unges kompetencer i efteruddannelse af teoretisk eller praktisk karakter gennem kortere udlandsophold. For at komme i betragtning til legatet skal de unge være tilknyttet Falster og Østlolland, Coversing Nysted, Sakskøbing og Guldborg.
